AUTUMN OPEN DAY 9 Sep 2023

Saturday 9 Sep saw DBKA open the gates to the local community as we enter the end of this years bee keeping season.

​

Steve Harker, Leader of Darlington Council, officially opened the newly installed welfare/toilet unit on what turned out to be a lovely warm afternoon.

​

We hosted approx 130 visitors to our site, who where able to speak with local beekeepers and see various displays we had around the apiary. We were also support by Friends of the Denes, Tees Cottage Pumping Station and our local police.

​

As we enter the winter months we will be at the Denes on a Tuesday morning (1000 - 1200) maintaining the site. Volunteers that wish to help with various ground maintenance jobs are more than welcome.
